Botanist and plantswoman
Mary Gibson Henry (1884-1967) was a Philadelphia botanist and plant collector who was interested in the legendary "Tropical Valley" of northern British Columbia, where the warmth of hot springs supposedly fostered vegetation not otherwise found in the region. She made four expeditions through northeastern British Columbia in the period 1931-1935. (BC Archives)
