Elizabeth C. Rearick was an instructor of physical culture at Columbia University in the 1930s. In the early 1930s she spent a year at the Hungarian Royal College of Physical Education in Budapest. While there she produced the film Glimpses of Rural Hungary and later wrote the book Dances of the Hungarians (1939) from the experience.
