Viewing Notes:

"The film was shot by Henry Iliffe Cozens, a student of Downing College, Cambridge. The scenes of University life are shot at random; there is no underlying thread. The first sequence shows aerial shots of the parade to the Senate House. There are crowds watching and an open topped bus passes. Further aerial shots show the parade leaving the Senate House. The following scenes show undergraduate 'high jinks' outside the East Range of Downing College and there are scenes showing a family and their dog (Mr and Mrs Quick, pub owners). The next sequence shows a rag parade and rag stunts around the streets of Cambridge. There is a shot of Cambridge Town Centre traffic outside Christ's College. A shot of the Bridge of Sighs opens a lengthy sequence showing skating on the River Cam. There are aerial scenes of the frozen river. This is followed by a shot of men and women dressed for cricket. There are scenes of the Men V. Women match. A man in gun boots is filmed outside the West Range of Downing College; there is an interior scene from a workshop; young men play an organ during an organ and piano recital in the Hall at Downing College. There are some scenes of punting. These include a scene from an amateur dramatic production that is filmed outside The Anchor. There are shots of young men sunbathing, a couple in a punt, a dog swimming in the river and undergraduates fooling around in the river. A man shows off his car. This is followed by family scenes in a garden (Alice and Marguerite Roberts). Downing College undergraduate rowers pose for a team photograph and then fetch their boat to place in the water. There is film of them training before a lengthy sequence showing bumps races. The final sequence shows scenes from a May Ball at Clare College. Students and their guests gather together outside a college. There are some more garden scenes. The final scenes are of the post ball punting and of couple walking a cross Clare Bridge" (EAFA Database).
