"Organized last September, the Film Art Players Club, in Harlem, New York City, has built up a membership of fifty colored amateur movie enthusiasts. Through membership subscriptions, a standard Universal Camera and accessories were purchased and several short subjects have been filmed. The organization is preparing for the production of a picture based on the experience of a young newspaper editor who builds a colored weekly into a daily. The film will be used in publicizing the value of a colored daily." (Gale 472)
